Synopsis: AFTER THE FACT is a short film written by Jackson C. Payne. Set in New Plymouth, the film tells the story of a young boy, William, and his slightly disillusioned teacher, Jenny. Jenny and William both share a moment that unites them. However, happiness can be fleeting. This is a sombre but truthful look at the hardships that can come with exploring one’s own identity and the importance of the friendships that can be found along the way.
