At The Edge Of Night – Philippe Sung, Brandon Fayette – Australia
Writer: Philippe Sung
Cast: Philippe Sung, Philippe Sung, Charlie Cattrall, Ashleigh Brewer, Kick Gurry, Amber Clayton
Synopsis: Set against the death metal scene in the Mojave Desert above that crazy dusty megacity of Los Angeles, At The Edge Of Night is a revenge tragedy about estranged childhood friends, Aaron and Ben who – though neither of them are able to admit it – are soul mates. On the night Ben returns to visit Aaron, it’s clear that the man he loves has moved on. But before he gets the chance to discuss their past, tragedy occurs – leaving Aaron bereft and unable to move on with his life. The deep connection they have transcends time and space, and ultimately Aaron has to either let Ben go, or join him. Part ghost story, part love story, At The Edge Of Night is an all-action mystical joyride between life, death and the meaning of it all, which places that ‘other’ world only a slight head tilt away from the everyday – sometimes glimpsed, sometimes felt, never fully seen – but always ever-present.

What unfolds is a desperate search for answers that will lead them back into their past, reflecting on choices that have brought them to this moment, and the revelation that they all may have more in common than they realise.
